You look around into the lush greenery and then tucked right there in the leaves (maybe having a little lunch) you spot a gopher tortoise!

Rachel Pierce's original artwork, "Little Friend in the Leaves 1", is inspired by all the times she has spotted a gopher tortoises on her bike rides around Sanibel Island. Our local wildlife is so important to us here on our conservation island.
