The Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation, or SCCF, is a core piece of what makes Sanibel and Captiva Islands so very special. They are true protectors of the islands, dedicating themselves to preserving Florida's sanctuaries and actively protecting native plants and wildlife. On their website SCCF states, "Since our beginnings as a land trust more than 50 years ago, our mission-driven work has expanded to embrace protecting wildlife, restoring native habitats, monitoring water quality, educating our community, and advocating for our ecosystems".

SCCF does so much for the community and there is so much more they plan to do. To help them reach these goals, they came together with Rachel Pierce to design a unique can of drinking water to market onto store shelves. Wanting to get away from the environmentally unfriendly plastic bottle, they used a can they designed using Rachel Pierce's artwork, this very piece of original artwork, to create "Sea Water". The goal is to eventually get these waters in stores nationwide, to promote awareness for SCCF and what they do, as well as raise funding so SCCF can continue to care for the beautiful islands we know and love.
